Meet the Chef

Stephen Wells is a photographer and home cook who believes the best meals are the ones that tell a story. Splitting his time between Florida and Georgia, he draws inspiration from local markets, fresh coastal catches, and the simple joy of firelit cooking.

For Stephen, food and photography are inseparable. His lens captures the moments that surround a meal — hands reaching, bread breaking, the golden light that falls across a table. Nothing is staged. Every photograph in 3 Tables reflects a real gathering, a meal about to be eaten.

Cooking, like photography, is about presence: noticing the details, honoring the moment, and sharing it with others. Whether he’s preparing a slow-simmered coq au vin, grilling steaks over open flame, or bringing home just-caught fish from the coast, Stephen approaches food as a way of connecting memory, place, and family.
